This special photography adventure is an opportunity to photograph the majestic snowy owl!
The regal Snowy Owl is one of the few birds that can get even non-birders excited!
This largest North American owl shows up irregularly in winter to hunt in the stubble fields with its vivid white shape and catlike yellow eyes. They spend summers far north of the Arctic Circle hunting lemmings, ptarmigan, and other prey in 24-hour daylight. They stop by Alberta for a visit during the winter and is one of their favourite places!
In this workshop we will go to the best place to see and photograph these amazing animals. There is an area that ornithology researchers have discovered is a popular wintering ground for these incredible birds and Brad will take you the terrain and timing where they frequent.
Brad will show you how to make the most of your focusing system, camera features and lenses to capture this incredible bird in flight and all its behaviours during its brief stopover here in Alberta.
During our owl journey we will shoot the fantastic photo opportunities in the area such as abandoned buildings, farm machinery, old cars and great prairie scenes!
