A few years ago, an amazing photographer showed up at a Fotoscool class. He came up to me after the class and showed me his photos. My jaw dropped- they were incredible!
He took a lot of classes and we got to be friends. He is a band councillor on the Tsuu T'ina reserve near Bragg Creek. Well, after years of talking about it, him and I have put together a workshop with special access to photograph the Pow Wow.
We will show you how to capture the action and amazing colours and energy of the Pow Wow- from the best angles. We will explain the event, the culture and how to capture the best photos of this colourful, beautiful, energy packed experience.
We will be getting an interpretive/historical tour of the event.
We will be photographing the final Pow Wow challenge with the best light
What you will learn:
How to use shutter speed, aperture and metering together
How to focus fast moving subjects
The tricks to capturing the right moment
How to use selective metering for amazing lighting
How to deal with different lighting situations
How to best use all your lenses
How to capture cultural stories (good for travel photography)
All skills are welcome. No specific lenses are required.
