What is the difference between Photoshop and Lightroom?
We are often asked the difference between adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. They are very different programs, but they are in sync with each other. A good understanding of both of these programs mixed with your creative skills, will give your final images that WOW factor (Photoshop), much more efficiently (Lightroom).
Lightroom can be considered a subset of Photoshop with specific functionality that Photoshop does not and probably will never have. It was created for the main purpose of managing a large number of images, keeping them organized in one place, processing RAW images and doing some adjustments.
Photoshop is a very advanced image editing tool, but when you edit hundreds of images, keeping them organized becomes a problem over time. We use Lightroom mainly for organizing and smaller batch edits while Photoshop really gets into the fine tuning of an image.
