Cathy is a long time instructor at the Alberta College of Art and workshop instructor known for her talent for making Photoshop very interesting and very easy to use. This comprehensive workshop will introduce you to everything about Photoshop and the endless possibilities of digital imaging and process. By taking this coarse, you will have much more creative control over your finished image, and a lot more WOW in your photos!!
This seminar will introduce you to post-production techniques that extend beyond basic photo-editing. Photoshop's unique platform and exclusive layering & mask application allow for complete creative control of digital imaging. 9am-12pm
• Photoshop preferences, menu and platform
• essential practice & technique of layers and masks
• layer attributes & layer designation + layer mask application
• global, local, and image adjustments
• exposure control [over/under], histograms & pixel/tonal distribution
• levels & curves + contrast adjustments
1pm- 4pm:
• adjustment of colour and contrast with luminosity and blending modes
• controlling colour with layer adjustments
• creative colour application- painting with colour, colour filters, fills and overlays
• black & white conversion + toning

- raw files with no previous processing
- note taking supplies
