Robin is one of those rare individuals who is both creative, and.... understands the way things are and how they work from a science perspective. He also has the curiosity of a 10 year old boy. These traits propel him into a world of capturing and creating images with a camera that is new and fresh and, frankly, like nothing I have ever seen. I call him a scientographer. Robin's official bio goes something like this...
Over the course of his extraordinary career, Robin invented the world’s first direct digital x-ray imaging device, and during which he hand in the design of the sensors many of you are using in your cameras!
Born in Scotland, Robin grew up with a passion for both science and adventure, moving to Canada in 1982 to pursue both. From a garage startup, Robin built the world’s first direct digital x-ray imaging device, bringing life-saving diagnostics to patients around the world, especially in developing countries without adequate healthcare. His startup became an award winning, half billion dollar company, with its x-ray systems being used worldwide.
Robin is a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for outstanding service to Canada. He holds multiple patents in medical imaging. See more of his work here: https://gurushots.com/robin.winsor/photos
